The current Administration has used its rulemaking authorities to influence production in a way that supports a worldview uninterested in economic growth or stability.




House Committee on Environmental Regulation

The Texas Conservative Coalition Research Institute (TCCRI) takes great interest in the subject of today’s hearing. Texas is the leading producer of energy and has the second-largest Gross State Product (GSP) in the nation.The state has an obligation to do all it can to protect this economic standing and the private industry that provides it year after year. From carbon emission limitations on power plants to increased restrictions on chemical emissions, the Biden Administration has used a variety of rulemaking authorities to influence production in a way that supports its ideological worldview. Unfortunately, this worldview does not place much interest in economic growth or stability, and instead revolves entirely around the concept of environmental justice.
