Nick James is a policy analyst at TCCRI. He grew up in Austin and attended Texas State University where he received both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Political Science.
Nick has worked in Texas politics for two legislative sessions and has experience working both in and outside the Capitol. Before attending college, Nick worked for Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, as well as Senators Donna Campbell, Dawn Buckingham, and Don Huffines. Outside the Capitol Nick worked for a political consulting firm where he was able to serve on a variety of political campaigns ranging from Texas House to United States Congress. He is an active member in the Federalist Society and while a student, he was president of and remains involved with, the National Political Science Honor Society, Pi Sigma Alpha.
